On the eve of Opening Day, the Boston Red Sox have put up a "Black Lives Matter" billboard next to Fenway Park, the club's longtime home.

Here's the official word from WBZ in Boston:

"SkyEye flew over a new billboard facing the Mass Pike next to Fenway Park. The words 'Black Lives Matter' are in the Red Sox font, and the team’s logo is also included."

And here's said flyover:

As noted, the Red Sox logo (and the link to the club's foundation) that can be seen emblazoned on the billboard, were clear indicators that the team was behind the signage. The Red Sox confirmed that via the team's Twitter account on Monday.
