The Bryce Harper sweepstakes have taken yet another turn.
Per SNY's Andy Martino, Harper is "unsure" about joining the Philadelphia Phillies, which leaves the previously rumored San Francisco Giants still in the running.

After fellow free agent Manny Machado reportedly signed a massive
10 year, $300 million deal with the San Diego Padres on Tuesday, Harper is left as MLB’s biggest unsigned free agent.
However, not long after Machado's signing was announced, MLB Network's Jon Heyman reported that the Padres are trying to land Bryce Harper as well.
Padres are pulling off one surprise (once Manny’s finalized) but here’s another shocker : they aren’t ruling out Bryce Harper, too. 110M payroll (with MM) is still lower than most.

February 19, 2019 San Diego signing both of the MLB's top free agents in one offseason would definitely create a shift of power in the NL West. Only time will tell where Harper will land, but don't count the Giants out just yet. Earlier this month, Giants GM Farhan Zaidi stated that "there’s obviously mutual interest on both sides" when it comes to Harper.
