On the eve of DeMarcus Cousins Golden State debut, a report has surfaced indicating that Boogie was pushing to make his introduction to the squad “a few weeks ago.”
The scoop comes per Yahoo! Sports! Chris Haynes, who says the Warriors kiboshed the idea by insisting upon a 10-minute playing restriction. Cousins prefered to extend his rehab rather than player under those circumstances.

“No, I wasn’t going to return against them,” Cousins said. “I didn’t because I didn’t’ want to give (the media) a storyline. Straight up. You can ask (president of basketball ops/general manager) Bob (Myers) that. I didn’t want to give y’all a storyline. That’s why (my return) is Friday.”
Cousins, contrary to what the New Orleans brass has declared, says the team never made him an offer to remain after his Achilles tear.
