The 49ers are “not in” on trade talks for Jalen Ramsey, according to a report from
NBC Sports Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco.
Ramsey was
seeking a trade out of Jacksonville in the wake of a Sunday sideline exchange with Jags head coach Doug Marrone.

September 15, 2019 Or at least he was seeking a trade, before Marrone addressed the topic on Wednesday morning, the eve of the club's Thursday Night Football meeting with the Titans.
Coach Doug Marrone said that Jalen Ramsey will be suited up tomorrow. Says “Jalen and I have always had a good open relationship... we sat down yesterday and talked about what went on with him and I... that’s behind us right now...” Says Jalen is focused on playing tomorrow.

September 18, 2019 While Ramsey is a two-time Pro Bowler and the No. 5 overall pick in the 2016 draft, there are, purportedly a couple of reasons why the 49ers are not among the corner’s suitors, if he's, in fact, on the block.
“The 49ers likely are not currently active in discussions to acquire Ramsey due to the level of compensation the Jaguars are seeking, as well as the price it would cost to sign Ramsey to a contract extension. Ramsey is scheduled to make $13.7 million in 2020 on the fifth-year option.”
Per
one report, the Jags were looking for a pair of first-round picks. Oh, and Ramsey wants
more money beyond that $13.7 million option.
The Niners will soon have to dish out a not insignificant amount of cash to a pair of key in-house pieces in DeForest Buckner and George Kittle who both hit the open market after the 2020 season.
