Kittle out for MNF showdown with Seahawks

The 49ers will be without George Kittle for the Monday Night Football showdown with the Seahawks.

Kittle's absence is hardly a surpruse. The Niners officially listed the passing-game star as doubtful on Saturday. Kittle was absent from practice all week long heading into the MNF titl.

After practice on Thursday, head coach Kyle Shanahan detailed that the tight end is dealing with an ankle and a knee issue.

Kittle sustained his injuries last Thursday in the 28-25 win over the Cardinals.

Like Kittle, kicker Robbie Gould is also listed as doubtful after suffering a right quadriceps. Chase McLaughlin has been inked to take Gould's place. Tackles Joe Staley (broken fibula) and Mike McGlinchey (knee) are both questionable, while fullback Kyle Juszczyk is set to return from his MCL injury. McGlinchey effectively announced his own return on Instagram:
