Long presumed to be out for the season, Kwon Alexander was back on the practice field in Santa Clara on Thursday morning.
Shortly after footage of the veteran practicing surfaced, the team officially announced that Alexander's practice window has been open.
Alexander, who tore his peck in Week 8 against the Panthers, is the second (and final) return-to-play designation for 49ers on IR. The Niners will face a yet-to-be-determined opponent on Jan. 11 at Levi's Stadium in the divisional round.
