A couple days after Chad Johnson took to Twitter to offer his services to the lowly Dolphins, smacked 59-10 in the season opener against the Ravens, Terrell Owens joined “Joe, Lo & Dibs” and naturally was asked if he could still suit up in the NFL.
“There’s no doubt about it,” Owens said on 95.7 The Game.
“My knowledge of the game. I’m still explosive. I’m sure you guys have seen some of the highlights and videos that I’ve been posting. So, for me, I understand where I could be of value, an asset to a team.”
“You think about third-down situations. You talk about the red zone. That’s where I would add some value to a team.”
Owens’ last NFL action came back in 2019, when he caught 81 passes for 983 yards on a Bengals squad that also featured Johnson.
“So, I’m just like Chad,” Owens continued. “Again, our careers got cut short… You look at all the things that people labeled us and how they criticized us. It made us look bad as if we were bad guys… It pales in comparison with some of the stuff that’s been happening as of lately.”
“So, for me, my man, there’s no doubt that I can go out and I can play right now. Not a question.”
