On Monday, Green Bay Packers quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers has donated $1 million to 80 businesses in his hometown of Chico, California and across Butte County.

Aaron Rodgers' Small-Business COVID-19 Fund at North Valley Community Foundation in Chico is covering the costs for three months of rent, or longer in some cases for 80 restaurants and retail businesses in the area. Rodgers broke the news of the grants to 9 of the businesses himself.

The businesses receiving the grants submitted videos & applications over the past few months hoping to receive the funds & Rodgers bumped up his donation from $500k to $1 million. Back in 2018 the quarterback also donated $1 million to victims of northern California's Camp Fire & raised an additional $3 million thanks to fans and his sponsors.
