Al Michaels spent seven seasons in the broadcast booth with the late football legend John Madden, who passed away Tuesday at the age of 85.
The duo worked together from 2002 to 2005 on ABC’s “Monday Night Football” before shifting to “Sunday Night Football” for three more seasons. Michaels joined 95.7 The Game’s Ray Ratto and Sean Salisbury Wednesday to share some memories about Madden. You can listen to the full interview below:
"On a day like today, in one sense it’s a day of mourning,” Michaels said. “On the other hand, I choose to look at it as a day of celebration. After it happened last night and you get over the initial shock, you talk to some of the people that we all worked together with. Then you start thinking about all the good times, the fun times and the great stories. And, boy, they’re never-ending. I just think about those seven years that I spent with John when he was a part of our crew and how many great memories there were.”
