Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are not getting along right now, it appears. It seems like the two could be parting ways at some point and the betting odds are out for which team might be Rodgers’ next landing spot.
Here are the odds released on Friday:
Denver Broncos +500
Las Vegas Raiders +600
Miami Dolphins +1000
Los Angeles Chargers +1000
Cleveland Browns +1200
New Orleans Saints +1200
Washington Football Team +1400
Carolina Panthers +1400
Arizona Cardinals +2000
New England Patriots +2000
Philadelphia Eagles +2000
Minnesota Vikings +2500
Chicago Bears +2800
Reports spread like wildfire on Thursday that the quarterback will be traded to the Denver Broncos, but that has yet to come to fruition.
In fact, Packers GM Brian Gutekunst definitively said the team is not trading Rodgers.
But Rodgers reportedly wants out of Green Bay and apparently has a wish list for his next team.
The Broncos and Raiders are favored in these odds because he mentioned them on his list, but this deal seems like it would be extremely difficult to pull off. Especially with the NFL Draft already underway. I mean, it is possible. Because anything is possible, I guess. But this is not probable.
The other thing is Rodgers has a side gig going on Jeopardy!, having just spent two weeks as a guest host on the show. The possibility is that he could become the permanent host. And Twitter had a field day joking about this in light of his desire to leave Green Bay.
If this trade were to happen, which, again is not likely, the Broncos are the most likely landing spot. That’s what some reports were saying on Thursday night and often where there’s smoke, there’s often fire.
But the bottom line is Rodgers is very unlikely to be traded from Green Bay right now. Carry on with the Draft.
