In a shocking turn of events, Ravens receiver Dez Bryant wasn't able to face his former team, the Dallas Cowboys, on Tuesday night.
Less than 30 minutes before kickoff, Bryant tweeted that he was pulled from warmups after he tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Cowboys sideline reporter, Kristi Scales, Bryant was scratched from the game with an illness and was sent home.
Bryant later followed up his tweet by saying he is done for the rest of the season because of the magnitude of the situation. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume Bryant won't actually skip out on the rest of the season after all he's been through to get back into the league. But I certainly understand that this had to be a very emotional moment for him to be told he can't play.
As for the game, there was some confusion over how the the NFL could allow it to still be played after Bryant's positive test.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, all other Ravens players tested negative for COVID-19 and "no high-risk close contacts were identified."
It's unknown if Bryant came into contact with any members of the Cowboys organization prior to the game.
