OAKLAND, Calif. – The No. 2-seed Golden State Valkyries will host the No. 7-seed Dallas Wings in the First Round of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs, presented by Kaiser Permanente. Game 1 tips off Sunday, September 27 at 6 p.m. at Chase Center and will air on USA/CNBC. Tickets are available at valkyries.com/tickets.
All fans attending First Round home games at Chase Center will receive a violet t-shirt, courtesy of Chase Freedom, and Bay Area rapper Too $hort will headline the game’s halftime performance on Sunday.
For Game 2 on Wednesday, September 30, fans will gather at Pier 48 for the inaugural "March to Ballhalla," and march together to Thrive City for the official Valkyries Playoffs Watch Party presented by Kaiser Permanente. Fans can also cheer on the Valkyries at Golden State Valkyries Bar Network locations throughout the Bay Area, which will broadcast all postseason games.
Festivities begin today, Friday, September 25, with Violet Day flag-raising ceremonies open to the public:
- San José: 11:00 a.m. at San José City Hall
- San Francisco: 11:15 a.m. at San Francisco City Hall
- Oakland: 3:30 p.m. at Frank Ogawa Plaza
The WNBA Playoffs begin this Sunday with the best-of-three First Round (1-1-1 format). The Semifinals will be a best-of-five (2-2-1), and the WNBA Finals will be a best-of-seven (2-2-1-1-1). Should Golden State advance past the First Round, the Valkyries are set to have home court advantage in the Semifinals, which will begin on Sunday, October 4.
