Instead of being three days deep into their Super Bowl preparations, 49ers stars were in Sin City on Thursday taking part in the NFL’s revamped Pro Bowl Games.

The traditional game format has been scrapped as it became a sham of an exhibition without much integrity, especially on defense. Now the NFL is hosting a fun set of games for the NFC and AFC’s best players to compete in, many of which have nothing to do with football.

On Thursday, 49ers Pro Bowlers George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey, Fred Warner, Talanoa Hufanga and Kyle Juszczyk took part in the shenanigans in Las Vegas at the Raiders practice facility.

Kittle got to show off his arm in dodgeball, while McCaffrey referenced the Hollywood classic when discussing his strategy with ESPN. Linebacker Fred Warner and Talanoa Hufanga were teammates in a water balloon throwing competition.

The Pro Bowl festivities will continue on Sunday with skills competitions and the NFL’s first ever 7-on-7 flag football game at 12 p.m. PT on Sunday.
