Andrew Wiggins chirps at Brandon Clarke after big two-handed slam

The Warriors want Andrew Wiggins to be more aggressive going to the rim.

On Tuesday night, it took him a while to take his first field goal attempt, but it was worth the wait. The Warriors guard threw down a menacing two-handed slam on Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke and proceeded to stare at him and talk some trash.

Clarke, of course, had some words for Draymond Green after his ejection in Game 1, as Clarke was dragged to the floor by his jersey.

Wiggins hasn’t played like an All-Star since representing the Warriors in Cleveland earlier this year. But he can be a huge part to the team’s championship chances as they try to extend the dynasty run.

Wiggins also grabbed an offensive rebound on the next possession, which is indicative of the dirty work he has been doing for the Warriors this postseason. At the age of 27, Wiggins still has plenty of bounce of his legs, though, and Golden State would love to see more dunks like the one he threw down on Clarke.

The chirping is also a new sign for Wiggins, who usually doesn’t get spotted talking much trash to opponents. Clark's comments probably rubbed the Warriors the wrong way.

It’s only Game 2, but there have been plenty of fireworks this series. Earlier in the game, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Dillon Brooks committed a “dirty” foul on Gary Payton II, one which led to Brooks’ ejection and X-rays for Payton. Draymond also flipped off fans after having to exit to the locker room in the first quarter on Tuesday.
