Anthony Slater breaks down Kevin Durant trade talks: 'They're legit'
The Golden State Warriors are trying to make a move at the NBA trade deadline. They have been angling for Jimmy Butler or Kevin Durant, or, as ESPN's Shams Charania said, any All-Star.
There is no one better to explain where the Warriors stand at the deadline than The Athletic's Anthony Slater. He Joined the Morning Roast Wednesday to explain where the Warriors are at. More specifically, are the Kevin Durant rumors real?
"They're legit," Slater said. "It's been a few days now, but certainly, there's been a lot of talk between Miami and Phoenix and the Warriors. And if this deal was to get doone on any side, it's probably going to need to be one or two more teams roped in because of the second apron rules and salary matching purposes. It is the talk of the league right now. It's the biggest domino left on the board... Yes, they're legit. This is very much in high-level discussions and has been for a few days now."
Slater went on to break down why the Suns are angling to make a move and why Durant could be the odd man out in Phoenix. He also discussed whether Durant playing with Draymond Green could work.
