Chris Broussard: Steph Curry could put himself into Top-10 all-time with ring, Finals MVP

Chris Broussard thinks Finals MVP awards are “overrated,” but for what it’s worth, he thinks Steph Curry is finally destined to win one in 2022 after he got snubbed in 2015.

Fox Sports 1’s analyst joined 95.7 The Game’s “Steiny & Guru” Wednesday to share his thoughts on Steph’s legacy and how a fourth ring and Finals MVP would change his place among the all-time greats. Check out the full interview below:

“It’s sad, but we know what it is, guys,” Broussard said. “Some people – if they won the championship and Steph wasn’t Finals MVP – to some people it’d almost be like he didn’t win the championship. They were harping on the fact he wasn’t MVP, which is sad. So I’m gonna throw in the fact that he’s Finals MVP as well as winning the ring. The debate now becomes, is he top-10 all time? Obviously, it’s already started to some degree. …

“I’ll say this, if he wins it, Finals MVP – he is definitively in the conversation. He’s in it. He’s one of the 13,14 guys that is firmly in that conversation. Then it depends on subjectivity – if you like his game better than (Hakeem) Olajuwon’s, Shaq(quille O’Neal)’s or Oscar (Robertson)’s – that type of thing. I think he’ll definitively be in that conversation, for sure.”
