It’s not every day that the greatest shooter who ever lived is taking practice shots on your college campus.
Students at Cal Institute of Technology in Pasadena, Calif., were treated to a free show (OK, let’s forget tuition for a second) Monday afternoon as the Warriors practiced inside the school’s gym. Reporters like Mark Medina of NBA.com and Evan Webeck of the Bay Area News Group shared images of students crowding the windows while the Warriors worked out.
Caltech is known more for its academics than athletics, but got a rare, up-close glimpse at Curry working his craft.
The Warriors are set to face the Los Angeles Clippers Monday night at 7:30 p.m. PT and you can hear all the action on 95.7 The Game. Golden State is looking for a SoCal sweep after topping the Los Angeles Lakers 117-115 Saturday at Chase Center.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr also offered some health updates on his team, saying that Andre Iguodala (back) will remain out for the final two games of the All-Star break. Webeck shared footage of Iguodala practicing in Pasadena:
According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, James Wiseman (knee) is yet to be cleared for 5-on-5 scrimmages after being spotted doing 3-on-3 work last week.
Rookie Jonathan Kuminga is expected to get his third straight start against the Clippers after holding his own against LeBron James and the Lakers this weekend.
