Dub Nation was fired up on Monday afternoon as the whole gang from 95.7 The Game got together for the Warriors Summit – a live two-hour broadcast from Buon Vino in Walnut Creek.
Bonta Hill and Joe Shasky of “The Morning Roast”, along with Matt Steinmetz and Daryle ‘The Guru’ Johnson from “Steiny & Guru”, Mark Willard and Dan Dibley of “Willard & Dibs” and Warriors pre- and post-game host John Dickinson all held a spirited roundtable in front of nearly 200 people.
The hosts wanted to take a temperature check from the fan base on Draymond Green’s future – and it seems like it will be a polarizing issue for the fans this offseason. While fans cheered in support of bringing Draymond back, the cheers were a little bit louder when Willard asked if they’d like to see the Warriors “move on” from Draymond.
Which side are you on?
While Warriors coach Steve Kerr has declared the team isn’t a championship contender without Draymond, he still has his detractors within the fanbase. Since the end of the season, the Warriors have acknowledged that Draymond’s punch on Jordan Poole in October altered the vibes in the building and they couldn’t recover in time.
The 33-year-old holds a $27.6 million player option for next season and has openly said he wants to return, as he will try to negotiate a multi-year extension this offseason.
The front office has a bunch of huge decisions to make this summer. You can stay locked in to the conversation all year long on 95.7 The Game.
Thanks again to all our fans for making the Warriors Summit such an electric atmosphere.
