Draymond Green guarantees Warriors championship this season, Steph Curry responds

You're not going to get Draymond Green to sit quietly on national television, especially not on an All-Star weekend in the Bay.

Over the weekend, while doing some broadcast work, Green proclaimed the Warriors would win another championship this season.

"We were kind of heading in the wrong direction, thinking we were figuring it out and never figuring it out. And since he's been here, we walked into every game thinking and believing that we're going to win that game. And that goes a long way in this league. When you walk in the game like, 'Oh man, we probably gonna lose this game, it's not good.' So he's brought back that belief. And I think we're going to win a championship."

Green was asked to clarify the comments by cohosts Adam Lefkoe, Jalen Rose and Vince Carter.

"I'm sorry," Green said. "I said I think we're going to win a championship, but I lied. We are going to win the championship."

Curry was interviewed postgame by Green, who told him about the guarantee then. Here's what Curry said in his post-game presser about those comments.

"I'm excited. I got Draymond on the telecast, guaranteeing we're winning the championship," Curry said. "I love expectations and having something to play for, so he's lighting the fire for sure. But all jokes aside, I think we finished the last four games 3-1, and we have a lot to figure out and I think 27 games or so left to make a push.

"All we want is just to get into a playoff series and have a fighting chance to be a tough out against anybody in the West. And we have a good opportunity in front of us to do that. So I'm looking forward to the challenge. It's basically a playoff game every single night, and that usually brings the best out of you."
