SAN FRANCISCO -- The Warriors might meet Ja Morant and the Grizzlies in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs. On Monday night, though, he was tweeting like any other basketball fan watching Golden State host the Nuggets in Game 2 of the first round.
In the third quarter of the contest, as the Warriors built a 20-point lead en route to a 126-106 win, Morant tweeted some of his thoughts. Buoyed by 18 straight points from Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green at one point, the Warriors offense took absolute control of the game, and possibly the series.
Check out some of Morant’s tweets below:
GS got shooters everywhere 😂😂😂🔥

That’s some major peer-to-peer respect.
The atmosphere was absolutely electric inside Chase Center Monday night. In a couple of weeks from now, Morant could be on the floor trying to stop the dudes he was just tweeting about.
The Warriors’ lethal lineup featuring Curry, Thompson and Jordan Poole is sure to bring a lot of challenges to any opponent in the postseason. Whether they’ll meet Morant and Memphis in the next round remains to be seen. The No. 2 seeded Grizzlies dropped Game 1 of their series against the No. 7 seed Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday and are set to play Game 2 on Tuesday night.
