JTA: People trying to paint Draymond as 'f–king menace'

JTA isn’t one to hold his tongue.

In a recent interview with The Athletic’s Sam Amick, Juan Toscano-Anderson shared his candid thoughts on the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole situation.

This past offseason JTA signed a minimum deal with the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency, so he’ll be in the house for ring night. Amick caught up with the former Warriors fan favorite about the public’s perception of Green after he punched Poole in a moment that was caught on tape and went viral.

Toscano-Anderson said he and Draymond were “like brothers” when they were teammates for three seasons with the Warriors, admitting that they “bumped heads a few times,” but always figured it out. He also gave a spirited defense of Draymond.

The Warriors have seemed to move past the incident internally, but no one in the franchise has been so frank with their comments defending Draymond. JTA is distanced now from the franchise and said he doesn’t know the full details of the situation, but chalked it up to the intensity that comes with an NBA practice.

When the Lakers were in town last week for a preseason matchup, he got to catch up with Poole on the court during pregame warmups.

Toscano-Anderson is loved by Warriors fans because of his ride-or-die attitude and his comments on Draymond are just another example of his fierce loyalty.
