Draymon Green appears on track to make his season debut on Friday as the Warriors begin the Chase Center portion of the campaign. Head coach offered the following update after practice on Thursday afternoon:
Kerr had hinted at this possibility earlier this week, telling reporters during a Monday morning Zoom that the Warriors hoped Green will make his season debut on Frduay, but that the decision is still to be determined based on if the veteran's conditioning is ready.
Green, absent for the first three games of the season at that time, and subsequently out for Tuesday's 116-106 win over the Pistons in Detroit, is working his way back from a right foot injury and also recovering from a positive COVID test during training camp. Friday's matchup with the Blazers, a 7:30pm tip at Chase Center, will be the season opener at home.
