Kevin Durant calls Steph Curry a 'master' after 37-point performance

After watching Warriors superstar Steph Curry torch the Brooklyn Nets for 37 points Tuesday night, Kevin Durant shared some nice words for his former teammate.

“He’s a master at what he does,” Durant told reporters. “I’ve been saying that since he came into the league. Just a crafty player that can do anything off the ball, that can cut to the rim, shoot floaters, shoot threes. And then he can handle the basketball, too, and get down to his spot. I’ve been there. He’s put in a ton of work and he cares about the game, he loves his teammates, plays with energy. That’s what you get any night. Every night he’s a player like that -- at an all-star, MVP, hall of fame level. You gotta respect it.”

The Warriors rolled to an impressive 117-99 win over the Brooklyn Nets while foiling Durant and holding him scoreless in the second half.

Durant and fellow Nets star James Harden didn’t even get off the bench for the fourth quarter, as the Warriors had already built a 22-point lead by then and turned the game into garbage time.

Following the final buzzer, Curry and Durant dapped it up on the court.

The duo won two titles together and it appears the two still have immense respect for one another after two years apart.

“His shooting numbers are ridiculous right now -- in terms of efficiency,” Curry said of Durant after the game. “He’s always had that ability to get whatever he wants on that side of the floor. But it seems like he’s taking it to another level.”
