LeBron got the last laugh.
With the rise of social media, NBA trash talk is different in 2023. After the Warriors called out the Lakers for flopping in their second round series last week, LeBron James defended his team by saying flopping wasn’t a part of the team’s culture. Warriors reserve forward JaMychal Green responded by calling cap on LeBron’s statement, using his Instagram story to imply James was lying.
Well, a day after the Lakers ended the Warriors' season Friday night in Game 6, James used his Instagram story to clap back at Green. James shared a photo montage from the series, which was fine, but he used Drake’s song ‘Tuscan Leather’ as the music, which features the lyrics, “Bench players talking like starters, I hate it.”

Everyone knows LeBron’s place in the game as one of the all-time greats, as he’s guided the Lakers from a 2-10 start to a spot in the Western Conference Finals. After silencing Dillon Brooks in the first round, LeBron chalked up another individual victory against JaMychal.
Green appeared in the first four games of the series – making a nice impact with 15 points in Game 2 – but rode the bench for the final two contests. Hence the dig from James.
It’s not that bad of a burn, but JaMychal has to hold the ‘L’ on this one.
