Mychal Thompson: 'Disappointing' Klay didn't finish with Warriors

It's Klay Thompson's return to the Bay Tuesday night. After leaving for the Dallas Mavericks, Thompson will play on the Warriors' court for the first time since his departure.

With that in mind, Willard and Dibs had on Klay Thompson's father and longtime Laker, Mychal. He admitted that his son's departure from the franchise was a disappointment.

"That was disappointing," Mychal Thompson said. "I was hoping, along with Draymond and Steph, like Dirk Nowitzki did and Kobe and Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, some of the other great, great players in the history of the game, were able to stay with one franchise their whole career. So I was hoping that he and Steph and Draymond would all go out together in three, four years together.

"So I was disappointed that that wasn't allowed to happen. So still disappointed about it. He's made a good choice going to Dallas. It's a great franchise, playing with some great players there, but I wish that he could have stayed with the Warriors his whole career."
