Kelly Oubre Jr. spoke with the media following Golden State's 141-119 loss to the Sacramento Kings where he addressed the trade deadline.
"Obviously, it comes with the territory," Oubre said. "This is, I guess, a pretty important year but I'm in a great situation right now so all in all I'm just happy to be here."
Would he like to stay with the Warriors for years to come?
"I would love that," Oubre said. "At the end of the day this is a business. We got through one step. The next step is giving my all to this team so that we can reach our goals this season and then this summer, that's another step. So, I'm just kinda in the moment right now and I'm here. I'm a Warrior."
It got interesting when Oubre was asked about more specific topics relating to if he'd be comfortable to come back to Warriors in a bench role next year.
"I can't speak for the future, brother. You keep asking me questions like I'm a psychic," Oubre said. "But at the end of the day, I'm growing, I'm honing in on my skills in this league and I can offer a lot more than coming off the bench. At the end of the day this is my life so I can't tell the future."
ESPN's Nick Friedell then asked a follow up question which Oubre didn't want to answer: Would he be willing to take less money?
"Bro, I'm not answering your questions no more, I'm sorry. Next question."
It will be interesting to see what happens this summer but in the words of Oubre himself, "Godspeed. Love is love."
