Steph Curry changed the game. Some say he ruined it. No matter what you call it, you can see his influence rubbing off on new Warriors first-round draft pick Patrick Baldwin Jr.
Golden State used the No. 28 overall pick Thursday night to select the 6-foot-9, 220-pound Baldwin, who was limited to just 11 games at the University of Milwaukee-Wisconsin this past season due to injury.
Baldwin loves to shoot it with style, though, just like Steph. NBA Draft analyst Aram Cannuscio shared a video of Baldwin sinking a no-look 3-pointer in college.
Looks like he’ll fit in just fine with the Splash Brothers.
Baldwin was a top-10 nationally-ranked recruit out of high school, but spurned offers from top programs to play for his father at Milwaukee in the Horizon League. The high-upside pick shot just 34.4 percent from the floor and 26.6 percent from 3-point land while averaging 12.1 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
The Warriors have time to be patient with the 19-year-old, as the reigning champs have a roster full of returning rotation players.
