The Warriors are reportedly filling their vacant 14th roster spot with a player they selected in the second round of the 2022 NBA Draft (55th overall).
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Kendra Andrews are reporting that the Warriors will sign Gui Santos to a three-year contract. Santos had been playing for the Warriors G-League affiliate in Santa Cruz.
Bobby Marks provides some details on how the Warriors were going to facilitate the transaction.
Santos, 21, averaged 12.7 points per game in 26 minutes over 26 games with Santa Cruz in 2022-23. He grabbed 6 rebounds a game with 2.2 assists. The deadline for the Warriors to add a 14th man to the roster is tomorrow. Golden State had considered veterans Rudy Gay and Rodney McGruder in training camp before both were cut prior to the season.
