The Warriors are sliding, and they just suffered their worst loss of the season in Memphis, by a ridiculous 51-point margin.

With that in mind, Marcus Thompson, Tim Kawakami and Anthony Slater discussed the Warriors' bleak reality and whether Jonathan Kuminga should start.

All three had criticism for the Warriors' approach to not starting Kuminga after indicating they were prepared to give him the reins, to some extent.

"I think Kuminga almost has to be in the starting lineup," Kawakami said. "hey can't just say we'll work it in within the way of the game and then we'll get him in that second unit. You're getting down 20-to-4, you just need it. And Kuminga was bad last night, too. I'm not saying it would've made a difference."

Slater countered with an explanation for why Kuminga is inconsistent.

"But there's a reason Kuminga is bad," Slater said. "What are they doing with Jonathan Kuminga? Last week, they're like, 'It's time. We've got to see, we've got to feature him,' this and that. And then we play and it's like, oh, let's pull the plug on that. You're not gonna get a good version of Jonathan Kuminga if you do this to Jonathan Kuminga repetitively."

Slater followed up to get Thompson's opinion on the situation.

"I'm with you. I just think this needs to be entrenched. You got two months to figure it out," Thompson said. "The solution of taking him out of the starting lineup and not featuring him hasn't produced a great solution. So you might as well just do it."
