Steph Curry, Ray Allen, Reggie Miller hug at Madison Square Garden

Want to see 8,506 3-pointers in one hug?

Before Tuesday night’s highly-anticipated Warriors-Knicks matchup at Madison Square Garden, basketball’s greatest trio of shooters embraced for a group hug on the court. You can listen to the game on 95.7 streaming below:

Steph Curry enters the game just one 3-pointer behind Allen’s NBA record of 2,973, and ahead of No. 3 on the list Reggie Miller (2,560). Allen and Miller sat down for a quick chat on TNT shortly before tip-off.

“I’m honored to be here,” Allen said. “Everything that’s taken place over the last couple weeks, just reminded me of how gracious Reggie as I was going through this process. I want to make sure I was here tonight for Steph because this is such a monumental occasion.”

Miller is on the broadcast call for TNT, while Allen made the effort from the Miami area, where he is the coach of Gulliver Prep.

“A lot of people like to group us and class us all together,” Miller said. “We’re all different. We respect one another. Now, if you’re to ask us if there’s a shooting contest or something like that all in our primes, of course our competitive natures are going to come out. But tonight’s the night for Stephen Curry and his flowers.”

Before the game, the Warriors hung the jerseys of the three players at his locker. All the hoopla and hype of Madison Square Garden just added to the vibe of the evening.

Both Allen and Miller also answered with a quick resounding “Yes” when asked if Curry would accomplish the feat in the first quarter.
