Steph Curry to release children's book in September

Throughout his career, Steph Curry’s children have played a starring role.

Back in 2015, Riley Curry stole the show during her dad’s press conferences as the Warriors were en route to their first title in 40 years. This season, Canon Curry has been spotted around the team and even gave Klay Thompson the game ball after his comeback game on Jan. 9.

Now Curry is on the verge of releasing a children’s book called “I Have a Superpower,” which will be published Sept. 6. Curry, who is also the founder of a family-focused media company called Unanimous Media, revealed the news Wednesday in a statement with People Magazine.

"It's an exciting time for Unanimous as we enter the publishing space with our very first picture book, I Have a Superpower," Curry told People. "With this story, we wanted to create something that inspired young readers to believe in their passion and centered on the message that you don't have to be the strongest, fastest or tallest kid in the world in order to succeed. Children truly are our future, and it is my hope that this special book empowers the next generation and reminds them to keep dreaming big."

Curry is credited as the book’s author, while Geneva Bowers will provide artwork for the 40-page book.

Despite being fathered by former NBA All-Star Dell Curry, Steph and his camp have long promoted his underdog mentality. Curry was lightly recruited out of high school before attending Davidson, being drafted by the Warriors and surviving early doubts to evolve into the game’s greatest shooter ever.

While he might not be among the 11 richest NBA athletes of all-time, Curry is sure to branch out and build his brand over the coming years. He is already one of the most popular players in the world, especially with youngsters, so this seems like a sensible business venture for Curry to pursue.
