Steph Curry's 'Underrated' documentary premieres on Apple TV Friday

By now, we know Steph Curry as one of the greatest players to ever touch a basketball, but it wasn’t always that way.

Despite his pedigree, being the son of 16-year NBA veteran Dell Curry, Steph was viewed as undersized throughout his high school days and ended up at Davidson after he wasn’t highly-recruited by colleges.

Everything changed for Curry during Davidson’s Elite 8 NCAA Tournament run during his sophomore season in 2008. His profile rose and the Warriors eventually drafted him at No. 7 overall in 2009, setting the stage for his Hall of Fame career and Golden State’s rise to a dynasty.

On Friday, Curry’s journey will be shared on Apple TV+, as his A24 documentary “Underrated” is set to premiere online. Curry premiered the doc to a Bay Area audience at Oakland’s Grand Lake Theater in April, but Friday it will go worldwide.

Steph has had quite the week.

Not only did he finally get his hands on the American Century Golf Classic trophy last weekend in Lake Tahoe, but he spent Monday night on stage with Drake at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Now he’s got a full-length documentary coming out.

The Warriors are hoping that Steph isn’t done writing his legend, as the 35-year-old is about to enter the 15th season of his career and still seems to be at the height of his powers.
