Steve Kerr discusses how defenses are attacking Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole came back to earth in Game 4.

After Poole averaged 28.7 points in his first three career playoff games in the Western Conference first round, the Nuggets dialed up the defensive pressure. Poole was bottled up for 11 points in the Game 4 loss for the Warriors and got a taste of what’s coming for the rest of the postseason. During his weekly appearance on 95.7 The Game’s “Damon & Ratto” on Tuesday, Warriors coach Steve Kerr discussed the way defenses are being more physical with Poole. You can listen to the full interview below:

“There’s a lot of good stuff happening,” Kerr said. “For us to be able to tell him, ‘Hey, this is what Steph’s been facing now for 10 years. He’s lighting everybody up. So what’s the opponent gonna do? They’re gonna get physical. They’re gonna put a big guy on him. That’s what they’re gonna do to you now.’ Because the word is out. The league has seen the impact he makes and now it’s a matter of adapting and adjusting.”
