Steve Kerr on Willard and Dibs: CP3 a 'perfect fit', Draymond injury update, Kuminga more coachable

Steve Kerr joined Willard and Dibs on Monday and explained why Chris Paul has been a "perfect fit", how Jonathan Kuminga is more coachable and gave an update on Draymond Green's injury status.

Kerr offered high praise for Chris Paul's fit with the Warriors so far.

"He's the perfect fit for us right now. Frankly, I think we needed leadership. I think we needed a guiding force for this group."

Jonathan Kuminga has enjoyed an explosive beginning to the preseason averaging an NBA leading 26.0 points per game. Steve Kerr said Kuminga is, "feeling more comfortable than ever before," entering his third NBA season.

"I think he's more comfortable in his own skin, which makes him more aware of the mistakes he makes and what he's got to clean up, and he's embracing coaching more. I think it's all part of a natural maturity happening with JK."

Kerr also updated Draymond Green's status with the regular season one week away saying Green is "questionable" for opening night against the Suns but added that he's, "not overly concerned about whether he plays opening night vs. the second week of the season."

"It's a long year. We just want Draymond healthy because we need him. When he's out there, we come one of the best defenses in the league," Kerr added.
