Steve Kerr: "We're in the exact spot we wanted to be in"

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr joins Willard and Dibs to react to his team's rough loss in Game 5 to the Rockets, preview Friday's Game 6 at the Chase Center, and more.

The Warriors will enter the game with a 3-2 series lead and have the chance to close out the series with a win, which is the 'exact' situation Steve Kerr was hoping for when the series got underway.

"We're in the exact spot that we wanted to be in when this series started. We're a 7-seed playing a 2-seed. To be up 3-2 going into Game 6 is where we want to be. Now it's up to us to finish it," Kerr said Thursday on Willard and Dibs.

Kerr also weighed in on the Rockets physical play and how they are targeting Stephen Curry's thumb when he releases the ball on shots.

"These are the best players in the world, and they're going to do whatever is within the rules to win the game. And I'm not going to fault them for that. ... But because the league has decided you're allowed to smack the guy, with a hive five, or hit them on the hand after the release, guys are just hammering shooters. ... I have no doubt it will be changed this summer."
