Buddy Hield scored a game-high 33 points to help lead the Golden State Warriors 103-89 over the Houston Rockets in Game 7 on Sunday night.
The Warriors led for much of the game with only two lead changes and two ties throughout the night. Stephen Curry had 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, while Jimmy Butler added 20 on 7-of-13 shooting and 8 rebounds.
Draymond Green also put up 16 points on 7-of-15 shooting, including a pair of 3s.
As well as the Warriors shot from the floor (nearly 42 percent from 3), it was their defense that really stood out in Game 7. In contrast to Game 6, their zone defense against Houston was effective and the Rockets shot just 6-of-18 from deep.
Amen Thompson led the way for Houston with 24 points and 9 rebounds. Alperen Sengun had 21 points and 14 rebounds. Fred VanVleet chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. No one else for the Rockets scored more than 8 points.
The Warriors advance to face the No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves, who defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.
