Warriors land Buddy Hield in sign-and-trade with 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers are sending Buddy Hield to the Golden State Warriors in a sign-and-trade deal that nets the sharpshooter a guaranteed deal worth $21 million.

The contract calls for Hield to earn $18 million in the first two seasons, and includes a $3 million partial guarantee for 2026-27 and a player option on a non-guaranteed deal in the fourth year, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

After losing Klay Thompson to the Dallas Mavericks to begin the offseason, the Warriors acquired Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kyle Anderson via a sign-and-trade deal that netted Anderson a three-year, $27 million contract.

Golden State is sending Philadelphia a 2031 second-round pick it received from Dallas in the deal for Thompson.

In a league-high 84 games played between the 76ers and the Indiana Pacers last season, Hield averaged 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 25.7 minutes per game.
