Warriors Practice: Kerr details why Šarić is 'perfect fit'

Part of the Warriors improvement plan this season is having role players that fit together on the floor more cohesively in addition to a better balance of youth and veterans. Dario Šarić is a key part of that plan and it sounds as if it's working out through the first week of training camp.

Steve Kerr addressed how Šarić has fit in to this point.

"Dario’s a perfect fit. He’s been great but I think know that he’s got his legs underneath him and a feel for how we play, he’s getting better and better every day. We really missed that dynamic last year, that (Nemanja) Bjelica, (Otto) Porter type player, big who can stretch the floor but still make plays, good passer. That really changes the equation offensively when you have someone out there who you can kind of run the offense though and can space the floor with the three-point shot. I’m really excited about him."

Šarić is just happy to be a part of the Warriors championship culture.

Šarić also explained how his mindset as a player helps him fit in the Warriors system.

Cory Joseph practiced for the first time since training camp started last Tuesday. He had been out with a lower back strain. With Draymond Green out, Chris Paul starting and Joseph injured, Brandin Podziemski got backup point-guard minutes in the Warriors preseason opener Saturday vs. the Lakers.
