The Golden State Warriors made two trades over the same second-round pick on Thursday. Earlier in the day, the Warriors traded away the 52nd overall pick for Thunders guard Lindy Waters III, a deep rotation shooter.
But Golden State traded back into the draft for that exact pick according to Anthony Slater, sending cash to the Oklahoma City Thunder to draft seven-foot Boston College center Quinten Post. It's a move which hard caps the Warriors at the second tax apron.
Post, a Dutch international, was a star for Boston College after transferring from Mississippi State.
The seven-foot center averaged 17.0 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game in his fifth college season. He also shot 43.1 percent from deep on 3.3 attempts per game.
