Warriors select Brandin Podziemski with No. 19 pick in NBA Draft

San Francisco (95.7 The Game) - The Golden State Warriors entered the 2023 NBA Draft with many options at their disposal. They could either stay put and make a pick for their future, or use the pick as trade ammo for a veteran.

And on Thursday night, we finally found out which, with the Warriors selecting Santa Clara guard Brandin Podziemski with the No. 19 overall pick.

While Podziemski started his career with Illinois, he eventually transferred to the Broncos, where he eventually became a star.

In his only year with the Broncos, he averaged 19.9 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, while hitting 48.3 percent from the floor and 43.8 percent from three. He also averaged 1.8 steals in 36 minutes per game.

Now, the Warriors have yet another elite shooter on the roster, the Warriors should continue to be another dangerous offense going forward.

And Podziemski secured, the Warriors future looks that much brighter... and as a result, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, and now Chris Paul, are likely that much happier as well.

Later Thursday, the Warriors selected Indiana's Trayce Jackson Davis with the No. 57 pick and agreed to a deal with undrafted free agent Javan Johnson from DePaul.
