SAN FRANCISCO (95.7 The GAME) - The Golden State Warriors have selected Jonathan Kuminga with the seventh overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft on Thursday night.
Kuminga, 18, moved to the United States at the age of 12 from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The 6'8" forward starred at a private school in New Jersey where he received several offers from top college basketball programs including Duke, Kentucky and Texas Tech.
However, he chose to forgo college and instead signed with the NBA's G League Ignite, averaging 15.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists, while shooting 38.7 percent overall and 24.6 percent from deep in 13 contests last season.
