The NBA keeps on pumping out new jersey concepts.
On Tuesday, the Warriors revealed the look for their “Statement” jerseys, which are set to debut during the 2022-23 regular season. The release date coincided with the 51-year anniversary of the franchise changed its name from the San Francisco Warriors to the Golden State Warriors.

Second-year wings Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody modeled the new jerseys, which received mixed reviews. According to a poll by NBC Sports Bay Area, Dub Nation was pretty much split on the Statement jersey, which features a darker blue than the team’s current threads.
If you feel like you get NCAA vibes from the Warriors’ latest look, you’re not alone. Many were quick to point out how Golden State’s Statement jerseys look like they belong to Cal or the University of Michigan. Even Cal’s social media department agrees. Other fans joked that the Warriors looked closer to the Pacers.
