Wemby and the Warriors, coming right up.
On Wednesday, the Warriors announced their preseason schedule and an Oct. 2 start date for training camp. Golden State will also play five exhibition games, all in California, including three home games at Chase Center before the regular season starts in the third week of October. The NBA usually releases the regular season schedule in about two weeks.
Highlighting the preseason schedule is the Oct. 20 date against the San Antonio Spurs in the final regular-season tuneup, as No. 1 overall pick Victor Wembanyama will play at Chase Center for the first time.
Here’s a look at the full preseason schedule, via the Warriors:

After starting last season with a trip in Japan, the low-travel preseason will be a welcome sight for the Warriors. Especially for head coach Steve Kerr, who will be in the Philippines later this month coaching Team USA in the FIBA World Cup.
As it stands now, the Warriors have 13 of 15 full-time roster spots filled, one two-way contract player and three training camp contract players. The roster will have a new look with Chris Paul, Dario Saric and Cory Joseph, along with rookies Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis.
