Warriors to sign former top-10 pick [report]

The Warriors are adding some wing depth for cheap after the upcoming All-Star Break. According to The Athletic's Anthony Slater, Golden State will effectively promote Kevin Knox to their roster after the break.

Knox, the former ninth overall pick by the Knicks in the 2018 NBA Draft, is still just 25 years old, and was a very raw prospect coming out of Florida. Since then, he's bounced around, but has recently dominated in the G-League with the Santa Cruz Warriors.

He's averaging 19.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game this season in Santa Cruz through 16 games. He's shot 47.1 percent from the field and 34.7 percent from deep.

It'll just be a 10-day contract, per Slater, but they could re-up him on a second 10-day contract or let him go. Since converting Quinten Post to a full contract, the Warriors also have an extra two-way deal to offer. Currently, they have Pat Spencer and Jackson Rowe on two-ways, but teams can have up to three players on two-way deals.
