The Golden State Warriors will not be making a pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. According to reports from the The Athletic's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater, the Warriors are shipping off the 52nd overall pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Lindy Waters III.
Slater reports that the Warriors will retain Waters, who has a $2.2 million cap hit.
In a weak draft class, the Warriors opted to pick up a player who is a "deep rotation option" rather than make a selection.
While he was not a substantial contributor, he shot the ball very efficiently from deep. He shot 45.3 percent from deep on 2.2 3-point attempts per game. Shooting is his most obvious asset, as is his small, expiring contract.
