Kelly Oubre Jr. didn't hold back his feelings on the latest Posted Up with Chris Haynes podcast.

Haynes asked Oubre -- who was acquired to help fill the void that Klay Thompson left after suffering an Achilles injury -- about Steve Kerr saying he'd come off the bench if he did return to Golden State next season.

"I don't even want to speak and elaborate on much on that situation," Oubre said. "All I'll tell you is that it put fire in my heart. It added more fuel to the fire.

"Being 25 years old, you know the way my career has been shaping out, the growth that I've shown in my career to go from the 15th pick to continuously have my numbers grow each and every year and my role and opportunity on the team to grow each and every year to have a year where my opportunity is lessened, and then as the year goes on I'm put into this category of trying to shape out the future of the organization when I haven't been given a fair opportunity to show what I can do on a large scale to what you said, yeah it is unfair.

"But all I could do is just go in and do my job and play. Keep focused and be professional. I was just worried about playing basketball for the team, and now I'm blessed to be an unrestricted free agent and the plan is to grow and get better each and every year. So that's what I'm in the gym for working on now."

This isn't the first time Oubre was asked about coming off the bench. Back in March before the trade deadline he was asked if he'd feel comfortable coming back to the Warriors in a bench role.

"I can't speak for the future, brother. You keep asking me questions like I'm a psychic," Oubre said. "But at the end of the day, I'm growing, I'm honing in on my skills in this league and I can offer a lot more than coming off the bench. At the end of the day this is my life so I can't tell the future."

Oubre improved his scoring averages in the five times he came off the bench this season but it doesn't sound like he's trying come off the bench in the future.
