Make Up Dates For Pirates/Cardinals Postponed Games Announced

Two doubleheaders will be played. One in Pittsburgh and one in St. Louis

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Make-up dates for the Pirates/Cardinals series that was postponed earlier this week due to COVID-19 infections within the St. Louis organization have been announced.

Major League Baseball says the first two games of the series will be made up on Thursday, August 27 as a doubleheader.

Both teams were scheduled off that day and the first game will be played at 3:15 Eastern time with the second after that at Busch Stadium.

Those games will make up for the ones missed on August 10 and 11.

The second game will be played as part of a double header on Friday, September 18 at PNC Park beginning at 4:05 p.m.

The Pirates will be the home game for game 1, the originally scheduled game. The Cardinals will be the home team for game 2, the make up from August 12.

This season, doubleheaders are 7 innings long and each team can call up another player for doubleheaders.
