Marshawn Lynch spotted handing out free Thanksgiving turkeys in Hawaii

Former NFL star Marshawn Lynch went from Beast Mode to Feast Mode.

As noted by Rob DeMello of Honolulu-based KHON2 News, the five-time Pro Bowler was spotted in Hawaii (where he apparently lives now), handing out 200 free turkeys to cars stopped at a local traffic light. The former Seahawks, Bills and Raiders star seemed to be enjoying himself (I probably would too if I lived in a place where it was 75 and sunny every day), shaking hands and chatting up appreciative passerby, all while masking up, of course.

The eccentric 34-year-old, well-known for his physical style of play (see Beast Quakes 1 and 2), tends to be a community fixture wherever he winds up. If you recall, the Skittle-munching bagpipe enthusiast (and occasional golf cart thief) also lent a helping hand in April, passing out “Beast Mode” masks in his native Oakland.

Lynch has yet to officially retire—in fact, the Seahawks had considered a reunion with the 5’11” bruiser this offseason before pivoting to Carlos Hyde—though the Cal-Berkeley alum appears to be at peace with the sun setting on his NFL career. And where better to shack up in your post-playing life than the soothing Aloha State with its clear skies and picture-esque views?

Props to Lynch for spreading some much-needed holiday cheer with his charitable efforts. We know Marshawn likes to take care of his chicken, but, in a pinch, turkey works just as well.
