Every 76ers fan took a long, shaky sigh of relief after Tobias Harris walked off the court under his own power in Sunday's playoff game against the Celtics.
Harris jumped up in an attempt to contest a shot from Jayson Tatum, getting upended and slamming his head on the floor in a horrific-looking play. (WARNING: Video below is graphic.)
Blood appeared next to Harris on the court as the medical staff came out and promptly signaled that the injury involved trauma, according to the ESPN broadcast team.
However, after taking a commercial break, the broadcast showed Harris walking off the court under his own power, pressing a towel up against his upper head/temple area.
Head coach Brett Brown said that he didn't yet have an update on Harris' status, but noted that he told the coaching staff he was okay. ESPN's Malika Andrews reported that Harris had been diagnosed with a left eye laceration and was getting tested for a possible concussion.
Miraculously, Harris not only cleared concussion protocol and returned to the bench, but checked back into the game with a bandage over his eye with around five minutes left to go in the fourth quarter.
Several notable figures showed their support for Harris immediately after the injury.
