Trevor Lawrence may not be coming to Cleveland for the NFL Draft, but there will be plenty of other top prospects in attendance to take the stage as their names are called.

The NFL released a list of 10 players who have accepted the league’s invite to attend draft night — the first live draft since 2019 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The list includes quarterbacks Mac Jones of Alabama and Trey Lance of North Dakota State, Heisman Trophy winner Devonta Smith of Alabama, LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, Florida tight end Kyle Pitts, Miami (FL) edge rusher Gregory Rousseau, Penn State linebacker Micah Prasons, Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley, Alabama cornerback Patrick Surtain II and Alabama defensive lineman Christian Barmore.

The announcement categorizes them as the first group of players to accept their invitations, suggesting others may join them.

Notably absent from the list is BYU quarterback Zach Wilson and Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

Many project Wilson to go No. 2 overall to the New York Jets while Fields is also getting plenty of buzz among the QB class as a potential top-10 pick as well.

Should Wilson not attend, it would could leave the draft without its top two picks present.

Still, the draft has plenty of star power in guys like Jones, Smith, Chase, and Lance as the league takes a small step back to normalcy after last year’s all-virtual draft due to the coronavirus pandemic.
